The Preparatory and Junior School team participated in four league galas in the first term, three of which we hosted. In the first, we swam against Dunvegan and Edenglen, winning with a lead of 14 points. We also won the second gala by beating the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams from Hurleyvale. The third gala was against Dunvegan and Redam House in which we took 22 first places, yet were narrowly beaten by Reddam, to finish in a close second place. In the fourth gala we swam against King David and Bedfordview. Throughout the medleys, butterfly and backstroke events, we were lying in second position, but pulled into the lead during the breaststroke, and maintained it for the freestyle, to beat Bedfordview by 1 point. King David was third. ThIS was a tremendously exciting gala and our swimmers and supporters were terrific! |
