Rugby

This year was fantastic…our boys played a total of fifteen matches this season and lost only two of them.

Much like any season so far we started out with a handful of boys at the first practice, but with the constant help and encouragement of Mr Dirk Odendal this number steadily grew and we were able to field two full teams and reserves by the end of the season.

The U15 team participated in the Saheti Sevens tournament and did well, losing only two of the six matches that they played.

In the fifteens format of the game we played nine matches against schools such as Boksburg High, Athlone Boys High, Monument, Saheti, Die Vakkel and Reddam House. We were undefeated.

We would like to congratulate Fezile Tati on being the first ever Bishop Bavin Rugby Player to be selected for the Golden Lions Craven Week Team. We are very proud of him.

Thank you to all the boys and parents for your ongoing support and dedication to Bishop Bavin Rugby, we look forward to another great season next year.
