Cricket

We had a fantastic season this year with great results, growth in numbers and of teams involved. We have students playing cricket from grade 0 all the way to grade 12.

Our junior school cricket section has been well supported with over 50 children being involved in the program. Our Grade 0 and 1’s focus on basic skills, understanding  and having fun of course! Grade 2’s and 3’s advance to hard ball cricket and we have an u9 side in the JHB East Area league.

We had a successful season with a number of the boys showing promise of true cricket talent. In the Prep school we had a resurgence of interest with many new students getting involved. The boys played a number of matches and learnt a great deal and there once again a number of boys who have shown skill and promise for the future. In the College our side was once again well led by Jason Van Staden who showed his value as both a captain and a player with a number of good performances.

Rogan Botha who played in the Prep Open East Area side last year has been a great addition to our college side and I’m sure we can expect even bigger things from him in the future. As a whole our cricket section has improved greatly and we hope to have even more teams entered and more students playing next year!
