from the chairman of the ptsa

This year has seen heaps of hard work, with the new Debs and Cadets committee and structures as well as the introduction of the mini Debs and Cadets, fund raising has been at an all time high, and to all the people involved from the committee right through to all the people at ground level, a huge thank you!!!

The exam centre project is well underway and will soon be a reality with having raised more than half the funds required, as well as managing to complete all the smaller projects we undertook at the start of the year, and special thanks would have to go out to all the teachers, parents and students who have given up their time and for all the energy you have put in to making those projects a reality.

I am proud to add that with the support we have given the sports and academies we have seen some stunning results, new coaching in the basketball has seen great improvements, the rowing has had another phenomenal year. Soccer, cricket and rugby are all excelling and the fencing has also had another great year with 2 of our fencers going to the junior world championships.

Father Ellis and I have also taken on a few “side projects” with the gardens and cosmetic upgrades to the buildings, which can be seen at the Close, and the new parking.
This has also been a sad year with the loss of a great man, Mr Lance Japhet, who passed away earlier this year, he will be missed and his words of wisdom will sit with me forever.

Richard Olfsen, working with you has been a great pleasure, your ability to keep me settled and to see the whole picture is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Father Ellis, as always, thank you for creating an exciting environment to work in, your ideas and enthusiasm make the PTSA a really fun forum to do the work we do, thank you.
