None of the above projects could have been done without the help of our school and our wonderful parents, TO THEM A BIG THANK YOU.
During the August holidays, two of our members Angela Aki and Liziwe Ndlumbini, were elected to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Camp at EmseniI Christian Leadership Centre.
This is what they have to say:
My time at camp was very informative and rewarding. I learnt a lot of very valuable life lessons. We were taught various leadership skills and learnt about technological development.
Most of the activities we took part in involved communication, group work, thinking clearly and thinking out of the box. My time at camp was truly phenomenal. In this time I learnt a lot about Ryla and got to meet some very interesting people, with whom I hope to remain in touch with.
Although the activities were difficult and sometimes frustrating, we gained a lot from them.

Going to Ryla was a thrilling experience. Although I had a lot of fun, I also learnt many valuable life lessons. I am glad I had an opportunity to be part of it. At Ryla, their way of teaching is very creative and fun. We were taught to take responsibility for our actions, to work with others as a group, to manage our time and to help others.
Today I stand proudly as a Rylarian and I go out into the world to make a difference. I met great future leaders and made unforgettable friends.

So from knitting to hands on dirty work, 2009 has so far been a big year for Bishop Bavin Interact and I am honoured to be a part of it. I hope that we can continue to expand our amazing work long into the future.
Yours in charity
